Major League Baseball provides another
unique opportunity to contribute to The Markie Foundation. Baseball Bucks is a program designed to raise
money from sports-minded individuals. The past six seasons, the
program has raised more than $5,000 for children's hospice.
Here's
how it works: You agree to pledge $0.50 for each game won by your
favorite baseball team during the regular season. At the end of
the season, simply write a check to The Markie Foundation reflecting
your team's number of wins. For
example, if you choose the Oakland A's and they win 100 games,
you make a tax-deductible donation of $50.
To
participate, simply email
us (info@markiefoundation.org) with your name, address, and
favorite baseball team. At
the end of the current season, you'll be sent a reminder with the donation
amount due.
