5/1/08--The Markie Foundation will disburse a significant portion of its existing funds, along with funds raised in 2008, among three organizations. Specific amounts for the disbursement, to be made later this year, have not been set and will be determined partially by the amount of funds raised by the Foundation in the coming months. "We chose pediatric hospice because of the wonderful experience we had during Markie's last six weeks of life. The skill and devotion of our hospice nurse enabled us to effectively care for Markie in our home, by providing us with the guidance to administer his medication and the medical equipment to keep Markie comfortable. The hospice program allowed us to spend quality time together as a family caring for and loving Markie, especially in his final days. We will always be grateful for this gift."--Janis Wuelfing |
