The Markie Foundation 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

SUNOL, CA, July 13, 2007--The Markie Foundation held its 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on July 13, 2007, at Sunol Valley Golf Club in Sunol, California. The event drew more than 150 golfers and helped raise more than $18,000 for children's hospice, surpassing 2007's record-breaking tournament.

An additional $9,000 in donations throughout the year boosts the Foundation's total funds raised in 2007 to more than $25,000. With this amount, the The Foundation has raised more than $200,000 since its inception in 1999 and has disbursed $177,950 to children's hospice programs. This includes $26,000 in donations in 2007 to two organizations: Children's Hospice & Palliative Care Coalition and Hinds Hospice.

Golfers enjoyed the scramble competition, food and beverages, tee prizes, and a great golf experience. A dinner, raffle, and live auction, followed the tournament. In total, approximately 220 people attended the post-golf festivities.

The Foundation will host its 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament next July at Sunol Valley Golf Club.
