The Markie Foundation Disburses Additional $26,000 in 2007

Foundation donates $15,000 to Children's Hospice & Palliative Care Coalition and $11,000 to Hinds Hospice

ROCKLIN, CA, May 1, 2007--In 2007, The Markie Foundation presented two organizations with donations to help continue serving families with terminally ill children:

Children’s Hospice and Palliative Care Coalition—In May 2007, the Foundation donated $15,000 to support CHPCC’s Partnership for Children program, which provides critical care coordination services to families on California’s Central Coast, where an overwhelming number children are living with and dying from life-threatening conditions. www.childrenshospice.org

Hinds Hospice—Also in May 2007, the Foundation donated $10,000 to help purchase needed ventilator equipment for use in the homes of families caring for terminally ill children. In addition, the Foundation donated $1,000 to their “Angel Babies” fundraising efforts. www.hindshospice.org
